Took them a long while to convert their restaurant into a MUIS halal-certified one. I guess it’s a good thing they did as it will likely boost their sales a little with more muslims and consumers from the middle to lower income group (and anyone who’s very frugal with their spending) patronizing their stalls. Price range is pretty average but they are still far behind their strong competitor Sukiya. Still grateful to have the option for a halal beef bowl in Bedok central area though. Taste wise, I would think it’s less flavourful than Sukiya (beef gyudon, they also gave lesser beef 😞) but perhaps it could be only isolated to this outlet. The chicken karage curry rice was okay. Their regular portion would be just nice for people who don’t usually eat much for lunch. We also had a small bowl of miso soup not sure from which set meal. The hot tea (ito en) is served in a small tea cup. Didn’t ask if can refill the hot water though but for $2 a cup it’s kinda pricey. Would give them a 4.5 stars to be fair. Their service was quite good and fast. Lots of space available for diners even during lunch time hours (around 1pm on Sunday). The restaurant feels more like a fast food chain instead when compared to the setting of Sukiya’s interior (which feels more like dining in a Japanese beef bowl eatery).

Serving portion is so bad.. I ordered a combo salmon with salmon... the salmon only have 2 pieces and 2 slice of small salmon..!! So small size of portion.. Malay people doing the serving.. u know is small portion for adult, does ur mom cook u so small portion?? U know how small is the serving!? $12! It should be worth only $7!! Is so small and stingy!!!! Upfront when I see, the portion serving is very small for adults or even children, is so expensive!! U can't tell from my photo, but the salmon is so small piece!! Used to get 3 piece of salmon the round one.. now 2 piece and more expensive, how can?? Yoshinoya is not stingy one okay.. the serving portion is small.. come to think about it ah, is not even 2 piece lor bcos they cut half.. how expensive is that when u buy in bulk purchase, how expensive is that??? Price increase oso cannot be so ridiculous right??? Not even 2 piece, only consider one piece bcos they sliced half.. the other salmon also very thinly sliced.. small portion hello, now I also dunno if I wana buy or not, the vegs 5 dollars like that? U do business not like grocery shopping for individual packets.. ur price must match with the servings...... everything shrinks cannot, really... yoshinoya Japanese brand how can be like this.. yoshinoya I know their servings are accurate one.. but this one I really don't understand, $12 No. Salad 12 got alot of options.. plate so nice everything looks fine, but the serving, waliew.... I finished eating I'm still not satisfied I'm not satisfied..

Cosy comfort food is what Yoshinoya is all about. Have always loved the beef. Ebi is ok. Curry a bit salty so cannot put too much. Overall quite shiok.

There are seats available on a weekend dinner time. Always order their salmon and beef combo. Food was good for this branch but their miso soup was kinda salty. Nothing to comment about their service as it was a self ordering kiosk and I did not communicate with any of their staff.

I'm really shocked at how poor the quality of food has gotten at Yoshinoya. This is a chain that serves children, teenagers and families, but I'll be worried to know if families are still allowing Yoshinoya meals into their diet. 80% or more of your beef is just fats, how could you morally even sell this to school going kids to have this as part of their meals. Kindly have some conscience with the business direction.
