The best Chinese food I have found in the Geylang area, hands down. Beef 串儿is delicious and the noodle broth is as authentic as it gets. Happy to find and really enjoy the location. Service was a bit lackluster but overall worth the wait. Will definitely come back!

A pleasant place to dine at. Good service. Tasty Xinjiang food (Halal). Pickled vegetable beef noodles is subtle when compared to Chinese North Eastern food but it is tasty. The broth is clear and flavourful. The bbq lamb ribs is delicious. Braised Duck with tea mushroom taste good too. Will return again.

First time here after they moved from little India. I must say… their price is very different now. Taste wise, it’s still the same. The brinjal tho… the portion is smaller than I remember. They’ve extended the menu which is good!

First time to this place and tried their beef noodles, appetisers and skewers. The broth was lovely. Noodles, we chose the medium thickness and it was perfect chewiness. The first jug of plum juice was rather diluted but the second one was better. Loved their lamb skewers, must order! Seasoning was not too strong and grilled adequately with the meat still juicy. Yums! The cucumber appetiser and the beef tripe were very good too. Prices are reasonable.

Always my go to for China style beef noodles, Yi Zun doesn't disappoint. Well mostly. It must be a year that I've not been back, and today however the beef slices looked too dark grey. They lacked moisture and were not enticing to the eye. The broth was still tasty, clean, balanced and not oily. Thankfully as I recalled it to be. The xiao long bao was a suprise as I generally find chicken based dim sum dishes to lack the depth of taste regular dim sum dishes get from using pork. But the xiao long bao was not lacklustre in any way. I would not be able to tell it was halal had you not told me. The har gao was filled with a plump prawn and everyone at the table gave it a thumbs up 👍. Still though, the star of the show (as always), was the brinjal. And I'm sure Yi Zun knows it, pricing it more expensive than the noodles, at almost the price of 3 dishes of dim sum for dough covered brinjal. Crisp, light, a tinge of sweet. Always a must order when dining here. I wish the highlight was the noodles rather, since that was what I craved for. And after today's experience, I might just consider somewhere else for my next beef noodle craving. After all, gotta give a chance to other restaurants to shine and dethrone what once was a very good bowl of beef noodles. @goodfoodwrite - instagram & YouTube
