If you're on the hunt for a delicious, affordable meal under $10, look no further than this underrated thunder tea rice spot! With its quiet ambiance and lack of crowds, it's the perfect place to enjoy a wholesome meal without the hassle of long queues or noisy environments. The thunder tea rice here is packed with benefits—loaded with fresh vegetables, fragrant tea broth, and a variety of toppings that cater to both vegetarians and meat lovers. They even offer crispy, perfectly cooked katsu for those who want a satisfying protein boost. What sets this place apart is its balance of flavor and nutrition, making it a go-to for a guilt-free yet hearty meal. Given its affordability, variety, and peaceful setting, this hidden gem deserves much more recognition. Delicious, filling and healthy lei cha in the East. Dining in is self service where you add your own hot water to the tea paste. With brown rice option. The fried yong tau foo add on is very satisfying

Thunder Tea Rice at Singpost Basement. I ordered a combo set with basil chicken, and it was delicious! The chicken was tender and fresh, making for a satisfying meal. Highly recommended! Must try!

Food is good but why they didn’t give me the TEA??? Or is it must take myself but I wasn’t told?? I ordered takeaway and the malay lady staff saw me walked away with the plastic bag but didn’t say anything. I ended up eating the plain rice and ingredients without the tea. And also, disposables are used if you choose to dine-in, so why the extra 40 cents charge for takeaway? for the plastic bag?

The thunder tea rice is nice and the price is reasonable. Recommended come to Singpost center to try the thunder tea rice, the brown rice price is same as white rice. Definitely will revisit again. Yummy! :)
