This place seems very popular for a location that is considered a little 'remote' or 'secluded'. Most probably it is because of the foods that they serve - good food with good taste and sufficiently generous servings. The ambient is also very comfortable and suitable for a small family gathering but you may have to wait because of the 'ever flowing' patrons/customers that come here, especially during peak periods like lunch time. And this place seems a popular place for meet-up sessions for some small groups of people who want to spend time chatting or catching up with friends too. Just be prepared to wait patiently if you'd like to try this place because it's a good place to come and spend a good time with friends.

The royals cafe (siglap) is one of the best cafe for morning/noon - breakfast/brunch/lunch. May not be eye catching like the rest of other cafes since the seating arrangement can be limited. But one of the signature is its remarks on "VOTED best mee siam in singapore". Initially I was like woah sure or not 🤣😅. So fiancée ordered mee siam while I ordered nasi lemak with boneless chicken. Both you can see from pic. Although I never try before all the mee siams in singapore but I can confirm that it is indeed one of the best I have tasted thus far. I intend to bring my parents over and try it one of the weekends. Staffs are friendly, customer oriented too. One of the lady also helped me charge my 0% battery phone so that I can show vaccinated status for dine in. Foods and drinks are served to your seats in timely fashion. They got an A for cleanliness certification and is halal certified so our muslim community can also enjoy the good food. Last but not least, their lemonade all soda based. Mine is the green one while fiancée is the royals blue (slightly sweeter than mine) but overall is a good experience for us especially after our morning workout on a sunday. I wish the shop prosper in the new year and maintain their food quality and service standard in future. Thanks all !

Happen to passing by the area looking for eatery shop/cafe during CNY holiday. All I can say, it’s worth it. Ordered nasi lemak with Ayam Masak merah, and my friend ordered mee siam with chicken wing. We both enjoyed the meal. Nasi lemak is fragrant and tasty, and that sambal is one of the best nasi lemak sambal I ever had - it’s sweet and spicy, which I like very much. Oh Ayam Masak merah… delicious.

Perfect balance of sweet and sour in the Mee Siam(in my opinion). Attentive staff, that I can tell are motivated. They noticed I only ordered one coffee between two, and offered to bring a glass of cold or warm water. They even held the coffee and cake till I was done with the Mee Siam. Definitely a cafe with pride in their operations.

The signature mee siam was good, and I enjoyed the gravy. The prawns didn't feel that fresh, but you should go to seafood restaurants if you want fresh seafood. We also tried the classic nasi lemak, which was on point and delicious. It's air-conditioned and you get nice and chill vibes similar to what you get from cafes, so it's a pretty good spot for catching up that's not too loud. Keep in mind that it's on the pricey side (close to $10 for mee siam / nasi lemak)
