To be fair to the team which comprise of all Indonesian staff, let’s give them some time to get use to our foodcourt pace here. There are hits and misses but I’ll mention what’s good: 1. The Gulai kambing (aka kambing soup) is filled with subtle notes of spices. Mutton meat is soft and breaks apart. Soup can be oily but you can’t have it all. Though we’re more use to less salt. We slurped it up regardless. 2. Ayam penyet looks better than what they displayed. The fried chicken is well seasoned, crispy skin and goes well with the chilli. I think I’ll be back for it when I crave for ayam penyet. Chilli is spicy and sweet. The business can do more with the look of the food. If it doesn’t look good in picture, it’s probably not going to attract the crowd to step in and try. The nasi padang has to appear warm and inviting. I’ll be back to try to less common dishes like pempek and tempe goreng.

It was a long queue and not organised when i visited. The menu prices are not displayed. I ordered the dory penyet. Total $7.50 The fish was a decent portion & crispy but very oily. There were two small pieces of tofu, no tempeh. Sambal was more like nasi lemak chilli, not like actual ayam penyet sambal. The side dish of fish/prawn crackers was not really necessary (the colourful ones were not even nice to eat, tasteless and hard) My friend had the bakso (bad service; stood there for really long and lady did not come and take his order) and paid $7.80 total plus extra noodles. It was seriously pathetic (with added noodles it just filled one normal bowl) with little fillings and soup that tasted like pepper water. Honestly this place is not well thought out. Won't recommend.

Waited 5 mins to be served. Was then over charged with different order. Nasi padang was really quite bad. Had chicken rendang with sayur Lodeh. Tasteless.

Indonesian food joint in new Pasir Ris Mall. Nasi Padang had good variety and delicious sambals but dishes can be cold if not freshly cooked. There are sub-outlet stalls selling satay, Nasi Ayam Penyet and Bakso. Staff are friendly.
