I ordered the lunch set, which included Tom Yum pasta with grilled chicken, a side of Tom Yum soup, and I added a Thai milk tea. The pasta was cooked well, with a perfect balance of flavors, and the grilled chicken was tender and flavorful. The Tom Yum soup, though unconventional with an egg inside, was a pleasant surprise and worked fine with the dish. However, the dining experience was somewhat hindered by a little smoky atmosphere, likely due to poor kitchen ventilation but not sure if it’s from this restaurant or from others. Improving the ventilation would greatly enhance the comfort of diners.

I saw a few bad google reviews on the Tom Yum soup as well as the rice vermicelli side dish. I am interested in trying out this establishment as it is a Thai food restaurant that I have not yet tasted in Civic Centre Woodlands. The restaurant's seating capacity is quite limited, I believe it can accommodate approximately less than 20 individuals. I had ordered a set meal with Saap's Signature Grilled Chicken with Basil Sauce (Mild Spicy), the rice vermicelli side dish, mini creamy green curry soup and iced lemongrass drink. I had a different opinion of the rice vermicelli side dish. It is a great salad based side dish with good flavour to open up your appetite. It is not meant to be a main dish. The grilled chicken was well grilled as you can see from my picture. I did not try the Tom Yum soup so I could not comment on the bad reviews but the green curry soup was really creaming and flavourful which I like. The only thing to comment is that the aglio olio pasta was quite plain although it is well cooked (springy). I had to pour in the Basil Sauce (Mild Spicy) to add to the flavour of the aglio olio. This is a self service restaurant so you will have to make payment, picking up the food and clearing the trays all by yourself. The food was served fast. Overall, it was a good experience for the price.

The tom yum olio with seafood and crispy fish (with "side dish" of chicken) was dripping wet and unnaturally sweet, and the presentation doesn't live up to the illustration shown on the menu. Nonetheless, the fish (and chicken) was crispy despite the pasta sauce. The portion of steamed fish slices, small prawns, and mussel was reasonable but average. Their seasoning, if any, was overpowered by the sweetness of the pasta sauce. A major drawback was its high price tag, and I'd suggest sticking to chicken as it seems to be better prepared.

Ordered the green curry set meal for $12.90. It came with green curry, rice and a side dish with 3 pieces of fried fish. You can choose the meat for the green curry. Added Thai milk tea for $2.50. Food was served fast and was tasty. Wish it could be cheaper though. Service could be improved as the ladies preparing the food at the counter didn’t say “thank you” to customers collecting their food. They were chatting amongst themselves non-stop.

In all my 30plus years eating thai food I have never tasted such lousy taste... 1. soup does not taste anything like tom yam. 2. Tanghoon totally no flavour taste like boil tanghoon.. 3. Salad taste sour n bland.. I don't even want to give this 1 star..
