Overall not bad, but not great either. The brown toast Kaya was yummy. Service is subpar and slow, and bench sets are unusually close the tables, and the tables have heavy duty metal legs, so you are almost guaranteed to hit them or have to climb over them as you try to slide into the bench seat... Very awkward

Run of the mill food quality, with food tasting like it was freshly microwaved. Nasi lemak was decent though it was overpriced at $7.90++ with hardly any ingredients. Curry chicken taste like it came out of a can and microwaved. Noodles soup didn’t have too much flavour to it. Food is just overpriced - kopi O at $3.70 and ice lemon tea at $5.30 seem too much to pay for considering the kind of establishment this is. One can find better food options in the same building.

OLDTOWN Prawn Meehoon Mee The taste of the soup is not too thick and delicious. Compared to the Prawn Mee from Penang Culture, Oldtown version is lighter. Both are tasty. If you prefer heavy taste, then go for Penang Culture version. This restaurant is call OLD TOWN. and Most of the services staff are also "old people". And you know the communication style and skills from old people...is lousy! For food, I think it will suite most of the people. But for services, do not expect so much.

The space is big, seating is ample, service is responsive and.. ya that's about it. If you are here for their white coffee, you are in for a treat since it's aromatic and even offer sugar-free option (kudos to that) and tastes better than yakun (subjective). But when it comes to the food.. I tried the toasted and steamed bread value set and boy does it suck. The eggs are not that hot, the toasted bread is not that crispy, the steam bread is not even steaming hot and the butter and kaya is not spread abundantly on the inside. The kaya is also overly sweet. So if you are looking to get your carbo-hit throughout the day, I would head to yakun and avoid old town... Honestly the saving grace is their white coffee so maybe I'm dumb for not heeding their brand name and getting only their core offering..

About 20 years ago, the white coffee craze from Malacca, Penang and other parts of Malaysia suddenly became super popular in Singapore. Overnight, the supermarkets were flooded with all sorts of "white coffee". While other brands have come and gone, one remains a popular brand, and that is Old Town White Coffee. It also happens to be my favourite coffee. A few years after the "white coffee" invasion, Old Town opened their cafe. Not only can you buy the coffee directly from the cafe, you can also savour a cuppa. During the early days, they had quite an extensive menu of yummy Malaysian food like Ipoh Hor Fun, Nasi Lemak, Roti Prata and even toast. Over the years, sadly, their standard seemed to have plummeted. Today, the menu merely consists of a few tired-looking items. The Ipoh Hor Fun was a disappointment, and was really bland. The fried wantons were a disaster; it had so much filler and practically no meat. The Nasi Lemak was a disturbing mix of good and bad; the rice was meh, the curry chicken had a lot of blood, and the sambal was so-so. However, the curry broth was really flavourful, and the whole dish was saved by the star - the super crispy, crunchy and tasty Ikan Bilis that left me wanting more. My hot chocolate was super gao, and could do with more milk. I'm really sad that the once happening place has come to this stage. If the owners are serious about it, then they need to seriously consider revamping their menu.
