Went to GyoGyo (Funan) for dinner. The food were nicely done. Unagi Don : Amount of rice is just right, puffy and soft too. The Unagi is fresh and grilled to perfection. Paired with the sauce which is not too much overpowering. Soft and nicely cooked eggs. Grilled Shioyaki Saba : Fresh saba fish grilled with salt. Soft and tender. But if you are someone who prefers your food moist, then this dish is not for you as it is a bit dry on the skin side. What else do you expect when it is without sauce right? Lol. But then again, that is the best way to eat your fish, as you could savour the freshness of the fish on your taste bud. Tuna Crab Roll (Sushi) : Don't exactly taste the crab. Most of the taste are from the tuna. But still taste wonderful though. Creamy texture. And the size is just right per piece. Plain Udon Soup : Sounds boring. But it is surprisingly, quite tasty. If you are looking for something light to eat, this is what you could go for. Udon cooked to perfection, soft and literally melts in the mouth. Served with soft egg. Grilled Tofu Steak with Ebiko Mayo (Highly recommended/personal favourite) : I have no idea how they made this tofu dish so delicious. It looks like fried tofu, with a slightly crispy skin while the inside is soft and white. Topped with their special Ebiko Mayo sauce which is mmmmmmmmmm... And finished off with sliced bonito flakes. Oh... It brings about a smokey flavour as well. A definite must try dish if you are dining here.

I was there on 4/11 around 3pm with my 5 years old son. The 2 malay ladies that serve us is very friendly and service oriented! Always a smile and even offer a phone stand for my son’s phone. Food was fantastic. Portion is huge and price is reasonable. Thank you!

A tad disappointed, but to be fair, it might be due to the fact that I was never into grilled fish. The beef hamburger pattie was relatively fine (but not fantastic), but the spaghetti and the fried bean curd were bland. I didn't feel that this eatery gives adequately the Japanese vibes other than the overly-lous Japanese songs played over their sound system.

My bestie & I love the food here so much!! It's our 2nd time here. Everything here is perfect! The food, ambience n staffs are very friendly n helpful. Had a little bit of accident where my white shirt got stained by the food..two staffs, Siti & Nik quickly attended to me by passing me tissue n wet tissue without me asking. I am so thankful to them!! We'll be back again for sure!!
