I'd come here for the waffles and ice cream, and nothing more. Being on the 3rd floor of Square 2, it's honestly a little secluded, no one really walks past the stores, and when we visited there was literally nobody in the store. Prices aren't exactly the most attractive, but if you're here for waffles Tuesday, or just finding a space around Novena to chill, this could be an option.

Caramel brownie fudge and honey malt crunch. Great flavours! Total $20 for this plate. Quite ex. Anyway, I do agree with the other review that there was a male staff who looked really unhappy working based on his actions.

Chanced upon the place while waiting to have my phone repaired. The food is well presented, taste was pretty average. Only one staff was manning the restaurant and she was doing a pretty good job 👏🏾👏🏾

This has to be the best Gelare outlet ever - located in Novena Square 2. Tried a number of outlets and even ordered delivery. Usually, even dining in or having it delivered, the waffle is soft and not crispy. (But definitely love how the taste of Gelare waffles - aromatic floury taste) The service staff (Forgot to ask for her name - sweet lady wearing specs) who works alone on Saturdays, prepared the waffle very well & meticulously - It was very crispy, tasty and nicely done. Although she is on her own, but her pace was collected & smooth, ensuring each and every order was detailed and nicely done (Am sure her boss knew about this, hence allowing her to man the store alone on a Saturday) Definitely deserved a pat on her shoulder on the job well done, I would recommend anyone to try this outlet (on Saturday if possible - did asked and she mentioned she is on full work shift alone on Saturdays) P/S: If I were to try the waffles made by her for my 1st Gelare attempt, I reckoned my taste bud will be put to very high expectations. If you guys are a fan of yummy crispy waffles, I'm sure you will enjoy as much as I did. Will definitely be back to patronize again, thumbs up for the tasty waffles! 💯

I submitted a feedback, on my.horrible experience Im.not sure if Gelare ever even bother to investigate . I used to patronise every few months, but with this horrific experience, i will never bring my family again, we have 8 of us & we ordered $51 worth! He presented very poorly and rudely to us. Incident 1: we asked him can we order 3 scoops on 1 waffle He replied: just tell me wat you want! But after we tell him, he still.couldnt get the right order. Incident 2: we went to ask for cutleries, he said, what do u want..rudely! Incident 3: he serve the first plate of waffle, without asking who's having this , we were shocked, he "threw" the plate on the table, turned n walked away, my young kids all.turned and looked at the adults. As there are kids around, we need explain to the kids. Incident 4: at this moment, as our 2nd waffle took longer than usual, my sister and i went to monitor, cause at this.moment, we no longer trust the male staff. Right at the moment, we saw the might have made a mistake and the waffle was damage, and he was so angry that we threw the waffle down on the waffle machine. We were staying for next 5 mins there to make sure he doesnt give to us that spolit waffle . At this point, he was extremely.unhappy which everyone clearly able to feel it. Similarly, the 2nd waffle arrived and he put on the table , turn and walked.off without apologising for been taking so long. Lastly, we projected extremely unhappy , rude & unprofessional and give us a strong impression that we owe him a living & we interrupted his peace.(note he was plYing with phone n laptop at the counter) not busy hours Next, as the kids are distracted, we wanted to walk to the counter to try understand, did we offend him, in anyway & if so we can apologise, like did we not order enough or we took more forks then we should? However, to.our surprise, we couldnt see anyone at the counter, so we wanted to wait, but after about 8 to 10 mins (est) theres no sign of him. So we reckon is pointless to speak with him. We turn and took the escalator down, and when we were making a turn to the left, we saw him using his phone, and we were surprised he was coming from level 2 and when walked past us, he was playing some kind of games. Maybe is Gelare's staff benefit, to allow staff to take longer break with unmanned stall to play games. I m not sure if this.message or feedback will be useful or attended. Do feel free to checl the cctv & after so many years supporting the brand, today really makes us (8 of us) not patronize again.
