Place was clean and I loved the colorful lanterns. There was just one person taking our orders and serving but didn’t wait long for food to be served, unlike what some reviewers said. The set meal was good value as it included free spring rolls and ice lemon grass tea. I ordered the grilled meat with noodles and really enjoyed it. The sauce was very refreshing. My daughter felt the beef pho lacked flavor but I tasted it and thought it was fine. My son liked the grilled chicken with rice that he ordered. We tried the stir fried noodles but won’t be ordering that again in future as it was quite plain. Perhaps it was meant to be mixed with the bean and chili sauces. All in all I am happy to return there for lunch.

First outlet to open right back after Covid, of course it's a must for my family and I came down from afar just for The Orange Lantern. ● Service: Delivery of food and drinks was quite fast and the servers were very polite and amicable. So there's no long waiting time. ● Food: Same difference. There's some changes to the menu but it is still as delicious as ever! ● Environment: Cosy, clean, warm and orange (hence the name). The decorations were cool with the laterns and amazing paintings of traditional Vietnam which they hang around the place. In addition, the TV was playing Tom & Jerry so nostalgia again! Great to watch esp when waiting for your food and drinks to arrive. *** And NO GST AND SERVICE CHARGE! *** Recommend to come down and try especially for nostalgia or even a new experience! Must visit this Halal Vietnamese Restaurant in Singapore! No GST and No Service Charge. I love the unique colourful lantern concept this restaurant. The foods are so delicious and the prices are affordable and big portions too. Value Set Meal only $12.90 you already get main course with free Appetizer and Drink. Don't forget to try their dessert after your meal. Definitely recommend this to let you try with friends and family!

Beyond its opening fanfare, The Orange Lantern has maintained a modest presence in the local restaurant scene. Having not eaten there for nearly 10 years, I was pleasantly surprised to find a relatively new outlet at Kallang Leisure Park. Missing Vietnam street food and stung by nostalgia, I ambled in and made my order. I would return with a party of friends for more. While the food isn’t an exact match for the real thing, the quintessential characteristics of Viet cuisine - quality rice noodles, clean full-flavoured stock balanced with a combo of aromatics, a variety of condiments, fresh (not frozen) meat & seafood - these made for authenticity. Among us, we ordered the Grilled Beef with Noodle combo, regular pho bo, banh mi and spring rolls. Beyond the initial ‘mm’ and ‘ah’ approvals, everyone ate the rest of their meals with quiet gusto. I was temporarily disappointed with the garnish, especially since Viet street stalls had a colander filled with fresh aromatic salad greens for our picking. Yet, a simple request was all it took for an extra serving enough for two, at no extra cost. Despite it being early Sunday evening, our party of 7 easily got a table. Service was polite and swift in a setting that was simple, clean and calm. Get more value with their current promotion of main, side and drink for $12.90.

A perfect makan spot to fix your Vietnamese food crave! It offers delicious Vietnamese dishes at unbeatable prices - value set meal at $12.90 with a main , appetiser and drink inside the mall! And it is Halal certified too! The portion is so big ! Love their Vietnamese egg coffee! So creamy and fishy egg taste but just good taste ! Not easy to find it in Singapore.
