The stall looks relatively new and the stall name had been updated to Traditional Malay Muslim Cuisine, The $2.50 shop. While inflation had been rampant since the logistics crisis effect of the Ukrainian war and the recent GST increase, it is heartening to see stalls like this offering cheap hawker fare at great value! And that's not to say we forgo taste. The $2.50 Mee Rebus here is as authentic as it gets with a potato forward thick and starchy, savoury umami broth, yellow noodles with sprouts, fresh diced tofu and a whole boiled egg. Toppings include fried shallots, spring onions, optional such as ketchup Manis, sambal, cut green chillies and a lime squeezed in for you. As good as it gets. I ordered extras with a fried egg and a fresh, fried chicken wing, another $2 in all. Great taste, superb value.

It’s heartening to see an enterprising family business that is built around community of the neighbourhood they operate in. Found them on 8days and we were craving nasi padang on that day when we were in town. Not the best lauk we had but it’s good enough for us to wallop all spick & span off the plates. We pray that the family would able to thrive and improve the community. Despite the huge inflationary pressures & high operating overheads. Definitely will come back here to try their breakfast items. Selamat Hari Raya to you all.

Bold move to put signboard offering $2.50 food. Rainy morning, best time to eat Mee rebus. Wasn't expecting much from a plate of $2.50 Mee rebus. When it's served, can see portion is a good size and come with 1 boiled egg. Mixed the noodle and first taste was not bad, not bad. Seller did not skim on ingredients and yet able to offer it at $2.50. Nutty gravy and dried shrimp flavor with other condiments make it a good Mee rebus. Definitely a value for money meal. They offers other dishes at $2.50 too, like Mee siam, lontong, Mee soto, fried rice, tahu goreng, Mee goreng and chicken rice. Chicken nasi briyani at $3.50 and $5.00 for a plate of mutton biryani. With inflation and GST increased, this stall is able to offer a low price to their customers. May I wish this stall will go on and on. Gotta try their nasi sambal goreng next time. Sambal goreng and sambal sotong looks so inviting. 😋

Initially wanted to drop by at 4am today (Saturday) but decided to come at 7am instead. To my disappointment, stall not ready yet - only have fried noodles (which looked so good btw 😔). Another customer walked over to ask, uncle waved him off, saying they were not open yet 🙁 Kindly update ur operational hours so customers like me won't be upset. Stated online that stall opens daily at 3.30am. Was quite irritated since can't get to try any of the food.

Do follow their Facebook to get updates about the operating hours....and understand that they are currently going through a difficult recuperating time as well.
