We tried Syed Cafe on recommendation from a relative while visiting Singapore. We tried some of the popular flatbread dishes: Egg Prata Cheese Prata Chicken Murtabak Roti john The two pratas were both good, but the curry it came with was a real hit, a great flavour and deep taste. The Murtabak was quite good but a bit heavy with what felt like a bit less filling than it should have had. The Roti john was good and quite filling, the chicken curry it came with was alright but not memorable. All in all we got a good meal for around S$20 which would easily fill 3 people. No-frills mamak style eatery with a wide variety of halal food options. Personally enjoyed the prata as it is more of the doughy and chewy sort, and also less oily than prata from other places. Maggi goreng ayam was pretty decent too, though ayam serving could be slightly more generous.

Enjoyed the Prata very much. Tissue was wonderful. Just choose your seats carefully if you’re sitting outside cos there are birds waiting to get a taste of your food.

I think the Maggie they go factory take, the butter chicken have to go kampong catch first, everything is very slow despite having little to no customers around. Portion enough to feed maybe a 5 years old child? This one Michelin restaurant I understand small portion but????

Renovated after taking over some stalls. Those restaurant serves a variety of Indian Muslim food and some western dishes. Pratas are good. Service is abrupt and can take some time. Occasionally pigeons would hang around for scraps where you sit.
