After being spoilt by NUS Ayam Penyek in the Engineering Faculty canteen, I had very long didn't have ayam penyek elsewhere. Today decided to try and when I see the chicken is being re fried.. I was like.. arr.. I should have ordered ayam bakar, but surprisingly it is not oily and dry. Nasi is nice, portion very big, sambal finally a spicy not sweet one, just that the ayam penyek has less flavor. So the -1 star.

Decent ayam penyet choices. Nasi goreng with ayam bakar was a good combination. Would be great if chicken was hotter when served and if the sambal was spicer. Friendly service and affordable though. Overall, not bad for a neighbourhood stall!

Favourite nasi ayam penyet!! The only place where I will clean the chicken up and eat the bones as well, chicken is also tender and crispy ahhhh Im craving for it already even though I just ate it lol. Portion is not stingy and sambal is to die for. The abang is also very nice. Dont forget to ask for the soup because they only give it on demand. Price wise ranges 3-8+ so for those on a budget you can go for the chicken wing set $3 which is still filling. Standard has been amazing ever since they opened up and hopefully forever.

Ayam penyet is nice but if gotta buck up on service. Wanted to take away, stood infront o the stall and a male seller preparing a big order ignoring me infront Asked if i can place order, seller responded he is preparing an order, a big order. So i asked if i can just order and seat,. Then he said he's doing a big order can i wait 15mins - with an unhappy tone. He grumbled saying that is why he did not ask for my order bcoz he is busy with this order. Well, if you think you can manage 2 way order, then might as well close the shop and do it home based. Dont chase away your customer just bcoz u have a big order. Such a disappointment. One of the nicest ayam penyet in bukit panjang but poor service.

Arrogant & rude! We overheard someone saying no more chilli so we ask the gila man as we wanted to pack for 10. Bluntly he replied “you know what am selling ? Who said no chilli!” One man show and cannot managed orders show temper. No wonder workers left him. We decided not to order.
