Great discovery of this new humble eatery just 15 mins walk from Bedok MRT which offers affordable Mookata, with prices for ala carte from $1 to $7.60 for the Striploin, and a set good for 2-3 pax at only $36. Featuring: 🥢Mookata Set (2-3 pax) $36, it came with a generous portion of marinated boneless chicken, black pepper chicken leg, sliced beef round, smoked duck breast, big prawns, squid, salmon, fish balls, crab sticks, beef balls, chicken franks, egg, egg tofu, mama noodles, Thai vermicelli, enoki mushroom, Chinese cabbage and kang kong. Special mention to their well marinated meat which was tender and flavourful. 🥢Japanese Wagyu beef $8 🥢Lamb Leg $6.60 🥢Cheese Dip $3.60 The meat paired especially well their inhouse chilli sauce made from scratch with halal ingredients while maintaining the authentic Thai taste. The cheese dip was good too! Ingredients were really fresh and we truly enjoyed the good spread of food with efficient and friendly service. Glad I also got their Japanese wagyu beef at only $1 per slice as part of their opening promo. Max 8 slices per order of $36 set menu. Will be back again!

Pros : Value for money. Good set selection. Marinade on items nicely done. Cons : All meat, poultry and seafood mixed in the same tray set meal meal and wrapped for quite some time I believe. So the juice and marinade cross cotaminate each other. Would prefer items separate so as to maintain the marinade and prevent cross contamination of flavour. Chicken slices were chunky so difficult to grill. Prefer thinner slices. Tomyam soup base - the server didn't stir prior pouring to our hotpot so it tasted very diluted first time round. Subsequently we stirred the balance soup in the jug thoroughly before pouring into the pot and it tasted better. Request - more types of sauces to add variety to our dining experience.

We recently discovered Oh Ho Mookata, a fantastic Halal Mookata spot that's perfect for bringing our Muslim friends along. I was pleasantly surprised to find that their meat and seafood options are incredibly delicious and I do not miss pork at all. Their dipping sauce also elevate the flavours into another level. When it comes to prices, you'll be pleased to know that their ala carte menu offers a range of options starting from just $1, with their Striploin priced at $7.60. Additionally, they have a set menu that's great for 2-3 people, priced at $36. And here's an exciting tidbit: they're currently running an opening promotion with Japanese wagyu slices available for just $1 each! Despite being a Halal establishment, Oh Ho! Mookata has managed to maintain the authentic flavors you'd expect from this type of cuisine. One thing that really stood out to us is that their soup, which they prepare fresh daily using chicken bones and vegetables, is free from MSG. So not only will you enjoy a tasty meal, but you won't have that parched feeling afterwards. And let me just say, their tom yum flavor is outstanding!

Enoki mushroom was yummy, but unfortunately the black pepper chicken that we ordered seemed to be spoilt and tasted very sour. The lady was nice enough to exchange it for us however it left us feeling queasy after our meal. The minimum spend for ala carte was also $36 which was a bit too much for a limited menu in our opinion. The marinated chicken was ok but we just hoped for a better and fresher selection for the price we paid. Not sure if it was our specific plate that did not conduct heat very well but it took quite awhile to cook the meat especially since they were on the thicker side. It was overall clean in terms of the location.
