Metta Cafe (Halal & Vegetarian) was established in 2014 to provide F & B vocational training, for Metta School graduates aged 18 and above with mild intellectual disability and/or autism. Open to Public - Monday to Sunday (except Public Holidays) 7am to 5pm. They cater eggless cakes and pastries for corporate and private events. A gift shop of Batik Arts by students. *Bus No. 12 and others in front of building. Ample parking inside building.

Cozy cafe located in Metta Welfare association that serves a variety of vegetarian fare at reasonable priced. Bought a couple of their CNY goodies. Eggless butter almond: Almonds provide a good crunchy texture contrast. Cookies were not too sweet.

Good Cafe with most of the beg options at affordable rates. Not much rush, so can have food nicely with good ambiance. Just opposite Melville Park bus stop, easily reachable to have snacks and lunch. Only demerit, closes by 5pm eve. I visited many times and found useful, hardly 2-3 options for lunch but snacks you will find many options. Just behind bus stop.

Located inside the Metta building, the cafe runs on a non-profit basis. Entirely vegetarian, right from bakery items to other dishes, it is a very good place to try and explore local dishes. They serve various season/festival specific dishes too (e.g. Lo Hei). Try their Laksa, Veggie Rice dishes, Dumplings etc. Economical and filling. The atmosphere is also very welcoming and comfortable. They have a specific space for parties too. Open 8 to 5.
