We book the table on Friday night for the birthday celebration after the covid19 measure further relaxed in Apr2022, the best time slot we can get is 5:30pm... All slots at 7pm are fully booked. We love the salmon fillet as the fillet is fried to just make while skin is very crispy and the fillet itself is still tender and juicy. While I told the staff we are here to celebrate the birthday, they help us deco the cake and put the candle on them, very sweet. No need to mention the environment is awesome as it is located inside the botanic garden so we are actually surrounded by lots of green, just remember to request the outdoor table

The Halia restaurant has a nice ambience and beautiful surroundings. I came with three other friends on a Sunday afternoon. Though the weather is scorching hot, I didn't sweat while dining at the restaurant. There are plenty of fans and there are also blinds which helps in reducing the restaurant temperature. The overall service is good, and the food is delicious. Though it's full house at that time, crews still managed to provide a good service. Reservations are strongly recommended for The Halia. You also cannot stay too long in the restaurant as you need to give ways to other customers who already do the bookings. Staff is polite when she reminded us when customers are waiting. I don't mind coming back again if I want to dine in nature.

Cosy place with really, really hospitable service staff. They were helpful and went out of their way to help out with even the smallest of things (one staff noticed that our table stopped looking at the table ordering menus but hadn’t yet placed our order with the table ordering system, so she suggested that we double check if we had indeed placed our order, and lo and behold we mistakenly hadn’t!). Food was either a hit or miss at times. Can’t say this met my expectations given the high ratings and reviews that led us here. But the vanilla ice cream was pleasant, a nice surprise given that the menu had a lot more to look forward to beyond it. Ambience was also a bit dim, strangely. The air conditioning was oddly low on a rainy day, which made it hard to stay peppy whilst under dimly lit lights with no accompanying music. Walking away from here feeling that The Halia’s probably good for daytime brunches with regulars who stroll through the gardens, but not so much a destination for others who have options elsewhere.

Have been wanting to try out The Halia for a looooong time and finally came over on a weekday dinner. The food tasted great and flavors were very special. There was a rather big grain of sand from the octopus which I bite into though. The truffle fries were super yummy but more than halfway through we spotted a strand of hair embedded inside the fries (did not try to pull it out of course...) and they did do a good service recovery by replacing the fries and also waiving off the fries from the bill. The ambience was great and I would come back again next time probably during brunch.

We had light eats here - cheeses, truffle fries, avocado on toast and such. Very nicely presented and tasty too. The ambience is the best part of this restaurant. You are surrounded by plants and it feels like you are inside a forest! The atmosphere is warm, with good decor.
