A quick dinner stop at this place, we reached early with no queue, and the food is fast. The steam chicken is worth the try and your calories. One can feel the springy texture of the meat, yet tender to the bite. The is a tad mild, without any punch, or exceptional notes. The Kai Lan is well mixed with the basil, and the prawn cake is crispy fried. Pricewise is reasonable. Overall, I would visit again to try the other chicken and different dishes. And yes, I noticed that 'tall man' mentioned in earlier reviews, he seemed rather serious or stern faced for a person in the service/ F&B industry. 🤣

One of the best chicken rice I’ve ever tasted. The Chili is just nice. Not too spicy not too sweet. Portion is not bad. Quite a spread for two pax. Probably will return for other dishes. And the price is also affordable.

The steamed chicken and rice is fragrant and tasty and Thai's style tofu and bitter gourd soup is a must to try. All other foods are delicious and tasty. No worry of excessive MSG. Have been many times, good for all meal sessions.

Regular customers here at Jem's outlet, the managers & staff are pretty approachable & friendly. And they are quite attentive with customer's needs. Tables seating were quite spacious, not too near each other. The food was great too! Tried many of their dishes on the menu, every dishes is to our liking, and the price is pretty reasonable & affordable. Thai Mango Salad gave a very refreshing taste with every bite, with the sweet & sour taste from the mango. Simply love their Steamed Sea Bass With Chilli, Lime & Garlic, fish was very fresh and meaty with the combination of clear gravy of sweetness & sourness in it. Seafood Tom Yum Soup was full of ingredients such as sotong, fish slices & prawns etc, kinda flavourful. Basil Chicken With Kai Lan was one of our favorite dish, it was a great match to have it with rice. Same goes to Royale Chives With Garlic. Fried Tofu With Thai Chilli Sauce was so crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. As for the Preserved Radish Omelette, a bit of disappointment as the radish fragrance was absent, & the Omelette was too oily. Curry Chap Chye tasted like what we normally ate outside. Personally I preferred white chicken than the roasted chicken, meat more tender & juicy. However, we will ordered half mixed so to try two flavours. Thai Style Basil Chicken Wings were yummy too with the fragrance of the basil. Need not worried even if you are alone, there are one set meal available. Thumbs up for Thai Roast Chicken Dry Noodle, noodle was springy and tasty with it's sauce. Last but not least, we love their desserts very much. Our No.1 choice - Thai Chendol, they were using the gula melaka, you can taste the fragrance of the gula & it's not too sweet. Topped with bits of jackfruit, red ruby & green pandan jelly enhanced the whole thing. Good to be shared for 2 pax. Coconut Ice Cream With Red Ruby was super good too, Red Ruby was chewy & Crunchy at the same time and coconut ice cream was so creamy and nice. Thai Milk Tea was too sweet for me. Therefore, I always ordered Hot Lemongrass drink, love the fragrance of the lemongrass, very refreshing indeed. Ice Rose Milk Tea did surprised me with it's blending of two drinks together, but it tasted more of bandung to me.

To date, I have only tried the branch in the basement of Jem. This is a Michelin Star restaurant, much like Tim Ho Wan. I only hope that a few years down the road, Go-Ang's standards won't plummet to the depths like Tim Ho Wan. This particular branch is quite popular, and there's almost a queue during peak hours. Their signature Thai chicken rice is fragrant, the chicken is tender and tasty, and the soup is surprisingly flavourful. While the red chilli goes very nicely with the chicken rice, I can't say the same for the accompanying Thai chilli. Best of all, the price is very reasonable, even cheaper than some of the famous places. The sambal Kang Kong is decent. I have yet to try the steamboat which seems to be another popular dish. This is another place well worth checking out.
