I would rate it higher if there was a place to sit and eat. Here's the problem with takeaway. You don't get to enjoy it when it's hot. I liked it alot. Even better than eggslut maybe with half the price. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and the one with Turkey bacon. I like the spicy chicken one better. Highly recommend. Might be small tho. I also got the tatter tots. Pretty normal. Small meal.

I ordered their Thai fish fillet sandwich set sometime in September 2022 and dined in on one of their two small tables. The scrambled eggs I had were moist and succulent and the taters were crisp without being over-fried. A wet tissue was offered complimentarily too. Those were things that I felt they were doing right. On the other hand, the fillet was rather thin and one of its corners was slightly burnt despite it being deep fried. Chilli sauce lacked the slightest bit of kick, presumably to cater to a wider audience. The sauce would probably sit well with advocates of the 'sweet' part in 'sweet Thai chilli sauce'. Cashier took 20 minutes to process a Chope cash voucher (20% off) as well, which had him calling his supervisor to guide him over the phone for 15 minutes, but I can overlook this as he was new (but untrained) and I had time to spare. They only started preparing my order after the long wait. One star off for their use of margarine, instead of butter, as a spread for their bread, as well as their cloyingly sweet juices clearly diluted from those syrupy cordials often purchased in a big bottle - all the available options are essentially chemical cocktails, i.e. a mix of sugar, flavourings and colourings. Even a cold pack of Marigold 100% juice (which is actually concentrate) would have added a lot more to the meal. I understand it is is one of many means to cut costs, but their stuff don't exactly come cheap, with a set meal setting you back at at least $10. Portion wise - the set meal would probably be just enough for light to average eaters. Eating the sandwich is quite the messy experience, for you will find bits of the scrambled eggs falling from it as you eat. I'd recommend that you eat at home as they do not have a sink for use. The breakfast toast recently introduced by Breadtalk offers better value for the price paid. There aren't many things going for Egg Stop in my humble opinion, save for good scrambled eggs, but I earnestly hope it would look into offering fresher, innovative and more authentic food in time to come as tenants don't often last long along the small stretch of road that it is plonked at. For now, I think I will patronise Egg Stop again only as a matter of convenience as it is nearer to my residence. Update (23/10/22): Visited again today for takeaway and was disappointed by their service. This Malay guy wearing spectacles was aloof, sullen and most importantly, unceremoniously rude - I had to make an outstanding payment of 50 cents after using a voucher, and when I requested to pay using PayWave, he simply said "its just 50 cents" and kept completely silent while staring at his terminal. He could have told me that they don't accept Paywave for small amounts and I would have totally got it.

Mac and cheese is insanely good. Their sandwiches are decent too with very fluffy eggs. Their fish fingers are bloody good as well.

The Chicken Alfredo is super bland. So little Cheese. It’s like eating Aglio Olio with a lil bit of cheese. I even ask for more cheese to be added when ordering. But even Aglio Olio is way more tastier than this. May i suggest if more cheese to be added and use heavy cream so it will have the perfect consistency and better taste. 🙏 But the Tator tots are pretty alright. 👍
