The Manager was very rude and arrogant. We left without ordering anything. He doesn't know how to talk to customers. Plz teach ur staff to don't spoil someone's special day with their arrogance. In ur reply you are lying through ur teeth, if u see video footage, u can see there was only one person in line already billed , he was just getting his payment reciept, and I was not ordering,I just said, I want to enquire about biryani portion size, ur rude manager told me to wait, j said ok.. Then upon asking he replied that " It's one portion size?? I said, like sometimes it small bowl and sometimes it a big plate. Then he replied very arrogantly that You don't even know A portion size?? You can see in CCTV that he didn't show me any bowl or anything.. I felt so insulted that I left the place.. I told my husband about it and he returned to ask managers name.. Ur manager denied telling his name and told that he doesn't care for this job . It's something for Owner to introspect for ur business. First see the CCTV footage.

Compared with other restaurants of this company in whole HK area, this particular branch surprisingly does not provide very good experience :( Place is luckily clean and doesn't look bad talking about overall visual side, to be fair - it should be also said that taste and quality of the food is on very similar or same level as other Ebenezers in HK, fortunately - the main thing! :) Indoor space is quite noisy and bit cold (I guess do to overuse of AC), outdoor area with plastic tables and plastic chairs feels fake (although spacious) - all equipment including huge umbrellas is wobbly and feels cheap / disturbing your dinning experience.. Music from the sound system installed in entire "village" area is trash (very short commercial cheap playlist +loud) Food is served in plastic boxes or on tiny paper plates with plastic (single use) cutlery! :( That in combination with unstable terrifying tables can make whole thing almost traumatising but I guess it's also result of the "commercial area - village management" itself, because these type of equipment can be seen in other restaurants on the yard as well. Evaluation of Ngong Ping Village in particular would take some energy, if covered properly - very commercial and fake place with many ugly details bringing disturbance to otherwise nice and unique area (which Ngong Ping as the mountain and areas with temples in the nature definitely is!) You can have alot of fun in nature and nearby spots if arriving by cable car but the "artificial commercial Ngong Ping village" is better to avoid. Feeling pity to be so critical but in this case it would be really better if there is just pure area with few rocks and trees instead of that "plastic fakes" ....and everything would be fine :) Would be nice bonus if restaurant could provide simple cup of drinkable water (either for symbolic price or free)

Limited options when you're in this area so if you want something that is not Chinese/Japanese then it's either Ebeneezer's or Subway. We were the only customers at the time as everyone else was queuing to go back on the cable car before it closed and it still took quite some time before the food was done. Friendly service? Non existent. HK$150 for the below - to say it's overpriced is an understatement.

We got a hodgepodge of items and were generally satisfied and well fed. The surprise was their samosas - get it ! Made for a good peal post all the cable car tripping and random walking and street shopping and Buddha watching .

Had lunch at this restaurant at top of Ngong Ping village. Ordered chicken and lamb and lamb pita, hummus and pita bread, garlic naan bread. Very tasty but small portions. Surprisingly tasty middle eastern restaurant in the middle of nowhere.
