Tenderly prepped steam chicken, stall owners are polite and quick in dishing up your order. Chilli is nice too.

Arrived at 11.15am and order roast chicken drum stick rice with additional side orders of braised egg and chicken gizzard. The soup accompanying the chicken rice tastes more of msg and sugar than chicken. Portion of drum stick was also surprisingly small but stall assistant explained its because the drum stick had been deboned. Chilli sauce was okay but could do with a little more tartness. But alas they committed the cardinal sin of all rice dishes - the chicken rice was not thoroughly cooked and there were grains of rice with rather hard cores. Unforgivable mistake. The one thing they did right was the price. At $6.50 for drum stick rice plus egg and gizzard, this is very affordable in view of the growing inflation globally.

Stall does more roasted chicken than white steamed chicken. Either way chicken meats are cooked to tenderness, even for breast meat. I ordered in addition of gizzards and braised egg and the set is just $5. Rice is fragrant and warm, the chilli went perfectly well with the soft chicken. Definitely going back again.

First time eating from this stall. Ordered roasted chicken with gizzard. Order came as a one person set for $4. Was pleasantly surprised to see vegetables other than bean sprouts. There was also tofu as well. This is probably one of the most well balanced chicken rice dish I have ever seen without having to pay extra for vegetables 😁. The rice was slightly hard but fragrance. Chicken was OK but I found the chilli a bit too watered down for my taste.
