Late review 😁 Came down to Chikata by the bay with my ex-colleague. Ate until so full that we had to walk around the area before going back to the train station. Our favourite soup is the tom yam. Had the usual beef and chicken teriyaki. Will come for more definitely.

First time here dining in at chickata at satay by the bay. Made a reservation to celebrate fathers day with my family. Really happy with the food and service provided by the staffs. What made me really happy was a simple and small gesture by the staff who offered me a taste of their tom yum soup. As we were too afraid of it being too spicy for my dad who cant take spice, the staff offered us a small bowl to test the spiciness of the soup before paying for it. Such small actions really show how nice and sincere the staffs are, and throughout dinner, our table was cleared promptly and soup was constantly being added for us. Really good food and service, and my family enjoyed it so much. This wont be our last time here for sure. Atmosphere was great, as its open air, with really big fans there for comfort and also so much other food options too. Ample parking lots too on a weekday, and the price is reasonable for a buffet. Thank you so much for making my family evening so wonderful

Had lunch for 2 pax, Staff were welcoming and attentive, however we were taken aback when we requested for the pan to be changed. It was burned, and we could no longer cook meat items. Staff told us to scrape the pan and continue cooking, apparently all customers does that and no one has requested for a change before. We decided to scrape and all charred items went to the soup. We were the only customers by the way. We have eaten at so many establishments that serve grill and steamboat, and have never been told that it’s not possible to change pan. After much explanation, staff couldn’t handle the situation well and changed the pan for us and walked away. Our only advice to the establishment, is to notify customers that pans will not be changed or at least provide some butter. So that we can be more careful to avoid charring pan. Edited: We weren’t aware that there’s a $5 service fee for changing pan, we wouldn’t have made a fuss. We’re not trying to bring the establishment down. Thank you.

Last Monday was the first time our family dining in at chickata at satay by the bay. Bcos my daughter and hubby can’t take spicy so when the staff told us they also has Tom yum soup base I was jokingly said can let us try and the staff really gave me one bowl of soup to try. Dnt think other places ofter this. The meat & food were very fresh plus the portions were very generous too. And of cos the staffs were very friendly and helpful. Keep on coming over to help us top up the soup and clear the trays. My family really enjoyed so much, the good food, service and the atmosphere. After a full delicious dinner, we stroll around to admire the night scene of Singapore. We will be back again and also will recommend to our local friends and especially to our foreign friends too.
