Chanced upon this stall and decided to try their HKM. OMG, it’s so flavorful and has the right level of wok hei. One of the best HKM. Even though it has dried up a little because of takeaway, it still tasted fantastic. The sambal complements the overall taste very well. This will be my must-eat the next time I visit fernvale hawker centre again!

This is in fernvale community centre, level 2 Kopitiam. Decent hokkien prawn Mee that is the wet enough kind. 2 pieces of prawns at $5. Chilli is good too. Carrot cake is slightly crispy. There are better ones out there, but this is decent enough for me. Carrot cake came first, then hokkien Mee. It's good that they served the Carrot cake first, and reuse the same pager to call you back for hokkien Mee. Wait time is around 15-20min for hokkien Mee, at 7pm, peak hour dinnertime. This is also Halal btw, since they don't use pork. Was surprised since the staff asked me to return st the Halal section.

Perfectly cooked hokkien mee with a satisfying chewy texture that absorbed the flavors of the dish. The fresh and succulent prawns, tender squid, and the careful balance of savory and umami flavors in the sauce made each bite truly memorable. The fragrant aroma certainly added an irresistible touch. I highly recommend this stall's Hokkien Mee to anyone seeking an authentic and flavorful experience that captures the essence of Singaporean cuisine.

Food: This is what I call a delicious plate of Fried Hokkien Noodles! First, I savoured the food with my eyes and the camera. Beautiful colour and texture. The ingredients looked fresh, the noodles had some burnt strands which gave it the wok hey fragrance. Next, I dug into the noodles and had my first bite. Savoury and flavourful. Smooth and creamy sauce that makes the colour gleams under the light, filled my mouth like an explosion begging me to devour it in an instant. Following, I took a bite into the squid and boy, it was fresh and was easy to bite! After and chewy! Well, I cannot leave out the introduction of the prawns, it was fresh too. Very solid meat, fresh and sweet. The eggs were well scrambled and mixed well into the dish. The chilli was balacan hot. Actually, I ate the dish without any chilli. I would have given it a 5 stars if it wouldn't be for a few missing ingredients. I was actually digging for them but unfortunately, I didn't find any fried lard, pork belly meat strands, bean sprouts and chives. (Updates: 1)It is a Halal certified stall. So goodbye to Pork belly and lard. 2) the bean sprouts and chives are in today 31/12/22. 3) maybe add chicken meat strands with skin attached? OK that's all folks. Will update regular on this stall.) As for the service, I gave it 4 stars. it is the beeper. Still lacked the olden ways of getting served. The environment is moderately clean. Run by Kopitiam, as expected, one won't get a really well wiped table like CI YUAN hawker. CI Yuan Hawker deserved to be crowned for cleanest environment. That's what I think. Overall, I am still satisfied with the delicious noodles. Great job and hope to see improvements in the ingredients.

1. Hokkien Prawn Mee 10/10 This is legitimately one of the best hokkien prawn mee I've ever had (this is the wet kind), and what's amazing is that is stall is halal! Which means that even without the pork lard, the flavour can be so good. The noodles are cooked very nicely, and absorbed the sauce extremely well as a good hokkien mee should. The sauce was one of the most flavourful ones of all the hokkien mee I've ever had. Prawns don't have that stinky flavour that some other stalls have, and are cooked nicely. The chili is has a nice spice level to it, and provides a nice saltiness and acidity. Overall I would say it can stand with the rest of the best hokkien mee in Singapore, even without lard! An amazing feat tbh. 10/10 would recommend. 2. White Carrot Cake 5/10 Unfortunately, its rating is slightly pulled down by the slightly worse than mediocre carrot cake, which is just too overcooked, and the flavour just is too sweet for my liking. If you're at fernvale cc, try the other carrot cake stall. It's honestly much better. (Idk if it was a bad day but the day i tried it, it was just not good)
