This store is indeed a Ayam bakar expert store. The original set I ordered is worth paying $6 for it. It consisted of 2 bean curd and a lettuce. Also served with a plain soup and importantly a chilli sauce. The start of the dish is the bbq chicken tight which is well cooked and not too tough or dry. It's was well grilled with a little charred area which adds flavors to the chicken. The chilli is potent (I can't take much chilli) and is a great condiment to the fish. Lettuce serviced is generous abd fresh. The whole dish is served on. Bamboo type serving tray which is able to contain everything if just buying for yourself. Will come and eat again another time 😁

Chicken was tender and juicy. Generous portion. Love the sauces. I tried orginal and rendang. Very delicious. Goes well with jumbo ice teh tarik.

Took the original, chicken leg is amazing, tasty and tender meat. Fried tofu is a bit dry but the taste is okay.

Took away the Ayam Bakar (original). Wow the takeaway plastic box ($0.20) looks so ataz. Black box with red cover. When we opened the box we were impressed by the size of the chicken. So huge! Comes with 2 pieces of fried tofu as well. Taste of the chicken, tofu and rice is decent.

Since I had some beef noodles next door to this stall, figured I'd load up on the protein. Do not let the nondescript outlook of the stall put you off. You should definitely give this stall a shot! I ordered the original ayam bakar, aka bbq chicken as I'd figured that'll be a dish that one can use as a baseline. Chicken is not that barbequed as one would expect. However the chicken is so tender and tasty that I kept trying to figure out the marinade. Do have it with the chilli sauce. It's tangy, spicy and sweet at the same time. No distinct flavors so you can tell the seller made their own sauce. Will come back for other dishes!
