We were looking for a supper place to get our prata fix and stumbled upon this joint through Google map while in Joo Chiat The prata is good and we liked the spicy fish curry. However, the mutton soup is a miss and we prefer our old haunt at Haig Rd market for their kambing soup We came in late evening so the temperature was okay without air conditioning. They have coin prata as well which we say we would return to try next time I think this is our substitute for our previous prata joint which serve coin prata in MacPherson as their food standards have dropped quite a fair bit We shall be back!

Extremely stuffy and you'll smell like a kitchen after the meal. Circulation is extremely bad. Used to be able to sit in the open but now confined indoor. Quality of food has deteriorated a lot! Prata isn't fluffy and is very oily. Pricing is exorbitant for the quality of food. Ayam goreng is very dry even when I ordered drumstick. Seasoning of mutton chop is very salty. Total bill came up to be a shocking $30. It WAS good, but no longer. Will not be returning anymore. Take a 5min stroll to haig Road market. You'll get better good at half the price.

I had a late breakfast with friends on 1 June 2023. The pratas were great as was the mutton ribs. The chicken curry was a disappointment as it was rather tasteless. The vegetables we ordered were also pretty good. The service was efficient and friendly.

I was looking for lamb shank briyani. Saw a couple sharing a plate of it at Casuarina Curry (Aljunied), a few days ago. Meat seemed tender: a big shank! As I was in Joo Chiat, I went to Al Falah Barakah restaurant to look for it. I was informed that they sell it in the weekends. I looked at the overhead menu and I was tempted to try the beef murtabak. The menu exclaimed, "must try". I guessed the "must try" recommendation raised my expectation and I found it disappointing. The beef was dry. Thought that it could be better--moist and more flavourful. I ordered a small portion, but I could not finish it, so I packed some home. Also, the curry for the prata tasted burnt. Masala tea was on the menu, but they did not have it. The waiter did not offer an alternative and he turned away. Later, I ordered a teh tarik. Wished that the tea could be thicker. It was milky and sweet. Quite enjoyable. Take away a vadai and masala vada. Asked for some mixed vegetable curry to eat it with. Curry is nice. People seemed to be ordering kambing soup. Perhaps it was a rainy day. Might try it another time.

Our orders were wrong, some staff were quite pushy, and meal was quite spicy despite asking for no spice. The chicken may also have been bad.
